The offers below are for our location only. In the Gold Offer we will connect remotely to your computer once a month for 6 months to make sure everything is fine. In the no headache problem prevention plan we will connect remotely for a year, after the initial service at our location.
Hourly rates are available if you need us to come to your location and perform virus removal and computer upgrades and repairs.
For all customers requesting virus removal, we offer the following three services at our location:
Bronze ($97):
1. We will eliminate all viruses and spyware on your computer.
2. We will do basic tune-up including running Windows Disk Clean and Defragment program.
Silver ($137):
We will do the following:
1. Eliminate all viruses and spyware on your computer.
2. Basic tune-up including running Windows Disk Clean and Defragment program.
3. Eliminate all temporary files and other files that are not needed.
4. Optimize computer setting to make your computer run faster.
5. Download and install all of the Microsoft Windows updates.
6. All current Microsoft software programs / applications will be updated with their latest patches.
7. Install a free antivirus program if you do not have one already installed.
Gold ($187):
We will do the following:
1. Eliminate all viruses and spyware on your computer.
2. Do a full check-up of all computer hardware (guarantee hardware for 6 months).
3. Full tune-up including running Windows Disk Clean, Defragment program optimize the registry, uninstall old unused programs, and optimize startup and shut-down .
4. Eliminate all temporary files and other files that are not needed.
5. We will optimize Firefox and Internet Explorer Internet settings.
6. Optimize computer setting to make your computer run faster.
7. Download and install all of the Microsoft Windows updates.
8. Download and install all of the hardware manufacturer updates and drivers.
9. Download and Install new version releases of existing software on your computer (this does not mean upgrading your software from version 8 to 9, for example).
10. All current Microsoft software programs / applications will be updated with their latest patches.
11. Install a Commercial version of a Virus Removal program.
12. Install a commercial version of a Spyware Removal program.
13. We will backup your data files and put them on DVDs for you.
14. We will do a complete checkup of your computer, hardware and software to make sure the computer is running optimally.
15. We will guarantee your computer from any computer hardware failures, and viruses for a six month period. No questions asked.

We have a “No Headaches” Home Problem Prevention Plan that provides you the computer service & support you need at a price that you can afford.
With a little planning and preparation, a little end-user training, and the use of your high-speed internet connection, we can keep your computer running smoothly and deal with any problems that arise quickly, conveniently, and above all else at a much lower cost to you.
If you had your computer serviced twice in a year, the cost would be over $250, but with our Home Problem Prevention Plan we keep your computer up-to-date and virus and spyware free for $217. We also do extra services that would far exceed $457.
That’s what we call “The way Computer Service should be.”

- We optimize your computer, eliminate viruses and spyware, and make you’re your computer is 100% up-to-date.
- We will install commercial (paid-for-version) Antivirus & Antispyware software. If you already have a anti-virus subscription, we will make sure all of the updates are made and we will run a scan to make sure everything is fine.
- We take a back-up of your computer and keep it on our password, encrypted systems. We do this in the event that you have a problem that is not able to be fixed. We restore your computer to the last backup that we did.
- Every three months we will remote control your computer and optimize your computer again as well as download any updates
- We request that you bring in your system at least every six months so that we can update your backup. If you bring it to us once each quarter, we will update your existing backup with us.If you want to backup your data (pictures, music, documents, and any other data) regularly (daily, weekly, monthly), we offer additional backup services.
- If any hardware component of your computer fails, we will only charge for the parts. Labor will not be charged.
- We will offer two support phone calls a month, and unlimited email support on your computer, Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Remote Support will be provided at a 50% discount.
- We will make your home wireless network secure for an additional $27.

The Problem Prevention Plan is designed to be a cooperative arrangement between The PC-University and club members. The ultimate goal that PC-U has is being able to keep our members computers working properly for a one year period. The Problem Prevention Plan is renewable annually.
How Do I Get Started?
You can either pay on line by clicking on the link below, or, when you make an appointment for us to look at your computer you can pay at that time.
In order for this program to be successful for you, and to help prevent viruses and spyware from going on your computer we need to install the paid versions of SuperAntispyware and AVG Anti-virus programs.
The only hardware requirement to have both of these packages protecting your computer at all times is a minimum of
- 1Gb memory for Windows XP
- 2Gb memory for Vista
- 3Gb memory for Windows 7.
If your computer does not have these minimum requirements, we will let you know the cost of the memory upgrade. Usually the cost for adding additional memory is between $39 and $69, which is below the retail price.
You will not only have a faster computer, but you will be protected at all times from viruses and spyware.
How the Problem Prevention Plan works…
1. Bring your computer in for service.
2. We perform a Tune-up of your computer, make sure all of the updates are up-to-date and that the computer is virus and spyware free.
3. We will install SuperAntispyware and AVG Anti-virus, unless you already have a paid subscription to Norton 360 version 2010. We will also configure these software packages as proactive and scan your computer every other day during the night.
4. We will do a complete backup of your computer onto a secure hard drive and we suggest you bring in the computer once a quarter for updating the backup.
5. In most cases, this setup of the Problem Prevention Service is all done within a 24 hour period. We will let you know after our diagnostics if it is going to be longer.
6. We will keep your computer running smoothly so that you can feel less frustrated, and you will know you are in good hands.
Monthly payments are also available at $19.97 a month. You can save $23 by paying $217 annually.
Because of the introduction of over 55,000 viruses a day and just general use, the computer will slow down. Computers, like cars need preventative maintenance and this subscription based service will ensure that your computer will run the best it can. Two viruses that you call us to remove during the course of a year will be more than the annual fee for this subscription.
We will charge your credit or debit card annually or monthly for this service unless you tell us to cancel.
This service will keep your computer running optimally and we take the guess work out of what updates to install and not install. We will do it for you with the subscription price.
We will also provide two support calls a month, and unlimited email support. If you get a virus we will remove it remotely for you.
